Lenovo Tab 2 A7-10: Budget Tablet Unveiled at CES, 2015
Lenovo has always looked to bring in something new to the world of tablets and the latest CES comes in as the fitting stage. The Tab 2 A7-10 is launched at the event besides its slightly costlier sibling and the expected global unveiling is pretty much round the corner.
The Tab 2 A7-10 is one 7 inch tablet offering a resolution of 1024x600 pixels. This translates into a pixel density of 170ppi. This gadget is quite certain of sporting the KitKat v4.4 of android as the Lollipop upgrade hasn’t been announced yet. Dolby Sound enhancement is available for this sizeable tablet, measuring 9.30mm in terms of thickness. Battery support for this budget tablet is 3450mAh, claiming 8 hours of longevity on a single charge. The voice calling feature misses out with this tablet which only offers the Wi-Fi version.
The Tab 2 A7-10 is powered by the MediaTek MT8382 chipset, offering a Quad-core processor and a generalized clock speed of 1.3GHz. The gadget is also equipped with 1GB of RAM and the internal storage limit is 8GB which can be expanded up to 32GB with the micro-SD slot in picture.
In terms of camera hardware, the Tab 2 A7-10 offers only a VGA like front module. The 0.3MP unit at the front is meant for the occasional selfies while the rear camera seems to be missing.
This Tablet priced at Rs.4999/- comes bundled with good hardware but still the lack of a SIM card is a let down. But as we said, the low price is a reason to go for it.
