Google Pixel: Premium Smartphone with Newer Branding
It seems Google has done away with the Nexus sub-branding and opted for a different name for its upcoming smartphones. We won’t be seeing more of Nexus devices as the smaller variant for 2016 is named as Google Pixel. This HTC manufactured smartphone boasts of premium attributes without going overboard, in terms of screen real-estate. Here is a detailed analysis of the existing specs sheet:
Google Pixel or the previously named Sailfish will come with a 5-inch screen, offering 1920x1080 pixels, in terms of resolution. The Full HD panel is further safeguarded by the latest version of Corning Gorilla Glass. Powering the same is a 2,770mAh battery module. In terms of connectivity, this gadget throws in 4G LTE followed by dual-band wireless support, Bluetooth compatibility, GPS and even NFC. With HTC on-board, the acoustic arrangements look great on this high-end handset.
This smartphone runs Android Nougat 7.1 straight out of the box.
Google Pixel comes with a sub-3,000mAh battery unit which isn’t exactly the best deal on offer. As per the existing specs sheet, we expected a more powerful battery module.
