Why should you buy?
Celkon Millennium Elite Q470 which has 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor and Dual SIM is one of the phones which gives good value for money in its segment costing just Rs.11999/- It is a good and affordable Android smart-phone, but has its own limitations as well.
Below average battery: The phone packs only an 1800 mAh Li-ion battery, which is below the industry average of 2000 mAh in its segment.
Price factor: Though this phone is friendly on pocket, it is not the best alternative when compared smart phones like Asus Zenfone 4, 5, Moto E and G that are available at very aggressive prices and Celkon offers no visible advantage over them.
The phone is a bar type one with curvy edges. The 4.7 inches wide screen makes it a little difficult to handle it with one hand. On the front side, there are touch buttons along the screen. Front camera is located on the top-right. The bottom end has microUSB port & microphone and the top portion has 3.5 mm headphone socket. Volume Rockers and Power Button are on the left side of the phone. On the back side of the phone we see the primary camera along with the LED flash and speaker grill. The phone is just 8.3 mm thick with length and breadth of 138.4 and 68.8 mm and weighs just 137g. It comes in white colour and has no alternatives. The package has a bundled free flip cover.
The phone sports a 4.7 inches HD IPS screen based on One Glass Solution (OGS) with 1280x720p resolution and 313dpi pixel density.
Hardware & OS:
The phone runs on MediaTek MT6582 chipset and 1.3 GHz Quad core processor with Cortex A7 architecture. The Mali 400 graphics is good enough to run most of the top end games on Google Play like Asphalt 8. It comes preinstalled with Android v.4.4.2 KitKat OS. The phone features three sensors viz. G-Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Ambience (Light) Sensor.
Camera & Multimedia:
The 8MP rear camera comes with an LED flash and has features like Autofocus, Face detection, Geo-tagging, HDR, Image stabilization etc. The camera's video quality is 720p with 30fps. The 2 MP front camera which can also shoot pictures and videos, is good enough for making video calls on Viber, Skype, etc. The phone can play most of the audio and video file formats like MP3, AAC, WAV, OGG, AMR, MP4, 3GP, WMV, AVI, and MKV etc. The phone also features an inbuilt FM radio.
The phone’s internal storage is 16GB which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
The 1800 mAh standard Li-ion battery delivers below average standby time and talk time of up to 6 hours, which is not good when compared to other phones in its segment. If you want more talk time and standby time you have to spend extra money for a battery with more power backup.
The phone supports Dual SIM with Dual standby, which can be used both in 2G and 3G networks. 2G supports all the four bands viz. GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, which means you can use it anywhere in the world. 3G too supports the four bands of 850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz. But the technology used here is WCDMA and not HSPA, which is not recommended over HSPA. One can use both mini and micro SIMs with the phone. It also features Bluetooth and Wifi.
