SONY CYBERSHOT DSC WX80: Offering a 16MP Image Sensor and BIONZ Processing Engine
Sony has recently unveiled the CYBERSHOT DSC WX80, a promising compact that offers a lot of reliable attributes. The CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 looks like an affordable camera and is now available for purchase from the leading online retail stores. Here is how this gadget looks like in terms of the specs sheet:
The CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 offers a 16MP image sensor working in unison with the BIONZ image processor. The maximum image resolution on offer is 4608x3456 pixels. Other resolutions are supported as well with the lowest being 640x480 pixels. In terms of image ratio, the CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 supports 4:3 and 16:9. The BSI-CMOS sensor measures 6.17mmx4.55mm in terms of dimension besides packing in 1/ 2.3 inch as the interface. The CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 offers an ISO sensitivity range of 100-3200 which can be expanded up to 6400 and then 12800 using the boost. Besides the Auto ISO mode, the CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 offers 6 white balance presets as well. One custom white balance mode is included, supported by the optical image stabilization.
Focus and Optics
The CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 offers an equivalent focal range of 28-224mm. The CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 misses out on manual focus but offers a macro focus range of up to 5cm. Optical Zoom is supported as well with a working limit of up to 8X. The CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 also offers the Digital Zooming Prowess with an expandable limit of up to 20X. Autofocus is also available with several featured modes like Face Detection, Touch, Single and Tracking.
The CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 offers a fixed LCD panel measuring 2.7 inches. The TFT LCD panel offers 230K dots as the screen resolution. Touch support is available for the featured panel in addition to the Live View.

The CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 offers a shutter speed range of 4-1/1600 sec. Several featured modes aren’t included but the CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 boasts of the built-in flash. The flash range on offer is 4.20m. External flash misses out but the CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 incorporates several shooting modes in Advanced Flash, Auto and many more. Burst shooting is supported by the CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 at 10 frames per second. A self-timer is featured as well in addition to the 3 metering modes. Exposure compensation mode is also supported by this compact camera.
Full HD recording is supported by the CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 at 60 frames per second. Other resolution in HD and 480p are supported as well at 30fps for each. MPEG-4 and AVCHD are the supported video formats working together with the stereo microphone and mono speaker.

The CYBERSHOT DSC WX80 offers USB 2.0 in terms of connectivity in addition to the HDMI output and Built-in wireless support. Internal storage limit can be expanded via the SD, SDHC and SDXC digital cards.
