Olympus OM-D E-M1: Featuring the TruePIC VII Sensor, Sensor Shift Image Stabilization and a Bundled Lens Kit
Olympus has launched the OM-D E-M1, a high-end Mirrorless camera that looks more like an SLR. This camera will roll out pretty soon and boasts of a wider repertoire in terms of hardware and connectivity schemes. Here is how the specs sheet looks like in detail:
The OM-D E-M1 starts off with a 16MP image sensor that offers a maximum image resolution of 4608x3456 pixels. The Four Thirds sensor measures 17.30mmx13mm in terms of dimensions. The CMOS image sensor also supports multiple aspect ratios in 1:1, 16:9, 4:3 and the standard 3:2. In terms of the processing unit, the OM-D E-M1 features the TruePIC VII image processor. The OM-D E-M1 boasts of an exhaustive ISO sensitivity limit of 100-25600 in addition to 7 white balance presets. The custom white balance mode is existent alongside the RAW image format. The OM-D E-M1 supports 5 axis image stabilization based on the sensor shift technology. In terms of JPEG quality levels, Super fine, fine, basic and normal modes are supported.
