Nikon D3200: Featuring a 24MP Sensor, Expeed 3 Image Processor and Bundled Lens Kits

Nikon adds another camera to its selection of budget DSLR in D3200. With a high pixel count and other enviable features, this affordable camera promises a lot in terms of a competitive repertoire. The specs sheet associated with the same can be detailed as follows:


The D3200 boasts of a 24MP sensor working in unison with the Expeed 3 image processing unit. Here is a compact SLR featuring a maximum image resolution of 6016x4000 pixels. Aspect ratio in 3:2 is also featured. The APS-C image sensor measures 23.2mmx15.40mm. The CMOS image sensor is paired along with the Nikon F lens mount, offering focal length multiplication of 1.5X. Digital Zoom is missing but the autofocus and manual focus make up for this omission. Multiple autofocus modes in Contrast Detect, Face Detection and many more are supported in addition to 11 focus points. ISO sensitivity range of 100-6400 is featured which can be expanded up to 12800 with boost. 12 white balance presets are supported in addition to the RAW format and the Basic, Fine and Normal JPEG quality levels.

Photography and Videography

The D3200 offers shutter speed limit of 30-1/4000 sec in addition to the Aperture and Shutter priority modes. Manual exposure mode in addition to the multiple scene modes are supported as well. The D3200 features built-in flash with a range of 12.00m. External flash is included via Hot Shoe. Wireless plus sync Connector is also added into the scheme of things.
