Nikon Coolpix P610, Featuring 60X Zooming Prowess and 16.1MP Sensor
Nikon finally introduces an upgraded version of its P600 in Coolpix P610 with a few notable tweaks over the predecessor. The specs sheet associated with this promising camera is enumerated as follows:
Sensor and Lens
The Coolpix P610 sports the 16.10MP sensor with 6.17x4.55 mm in terms of size. The CMOS imaging sensor allows the camera to click through at a burst rate of seven stills, with full resolution. The sensor is backside illuminated with the included lens offering 60X as the optical zooming limit. The equivalent field of view for this lens is 24mm at the wide end and 1440mm at full telephoto. The aperture range for the Coolpix P610 is f/3.3-6.5. Nikon also features the 2X Dynamic Fine Zoom which works in unison to the 4X digital zoom. This zooming feature offers an equivalent field of approximately 5760mm. The ISO range featured is 100-6400 and the shutter range is 15-1/4000.
Scene Modes and Video Recording
The Coolpix P610 features the Easy Panorama mode which allows one to create those ultra-wide shots with a single release button. The Sweep Camera feature is also paired along for the enthusiasts. Besides this, this gadget comes with 22 scene modes which include Moon and Bird watching ones as well. The all new Time Lapse Movie mode looks like a significant improvement over the predecessor.
