Samsung Z2: Low Priced, but is it worth your money?
With Samsung Z2 Samsung is trying to entice the feature phone users in India who amount to more than 50% of total mobile users. And this is the segment where Samsung repeatedly faltered due to its attempt to woo budget cautious Indian public overpriced yet underwhelming phones like Samsung Star series. This time also, story is n different since Samsung Z2 is not a phone which an average Indian want to buy at this price. Samsung Z2 is priced aggressively at Rs 4590 with its own Tizen OS and 4G connectivity. Samsung has tied up with Reliance Jio to offer 4G SIM and three months of 4G data free of cost. But phones like Xolo Era 1X are more value for money due to the presence of superior features at a comparable price to Samsung Z2. 4 Inches screen with WVGA Display as well as the mere 0.3MP front camera is real dampener. The 1500mAh battery is also a disappointment.
Samsung brand, Tizen OS, 1.5 GHz Quad Core Processor, 1 GB RAM and availability of 4G.
Small 4 Inch WVGA Display which is of bad quality, insufficient 0.3 MP Front Camera and a 1500 mAh battery which is too low for long time calls and browsing are all big disappointments.
Should You buy Samsung Z2?
The decision totally depends on what you want from this phone. As said in the beginning, Samsung Z2 is an attempt from Samsung to reach the mass markets in India. But is it worth for the consumer? We doubt. A 1500 mAh battery, a small 4 inch WVGA display and a mere 0.3 MP front camera in this era of selfies take all the fun out of this phone. InFocus M370i and InFocus M370 with 2GB and 1GB RAM respectively and with better screen and battery are better options than Samsung Z2. As always, Samsung has shown that it is not a player for mass segment of budget phones. If you are a great fan of Samsung and if you are looking for a second cheaper phone, you can go for it.
