Samsung Galaxy On8: Promising new entrant into Samsung Galaxy On Series
Samsung has finally introduced new and promising new addition to its popular Galaxy On series, namely Samsung galaxy On8. What makes this new phone from the existing On series phones is the presence of Super AMOLED Screen which is so far unseen in On Series of budget phones. In addition it will have the usual goodies in Samsung phones like nice cameras, both in front and rear plus captivating visuals on the lively screen. Other interesting news about Galaxy On8 is that it will be initially available only through Flipkart. Later on Samsung plans to make it available in other stores as well as via the offline route. Let us see the specs in more detail:
Samsung Galaxy On8 has 5.5 Inch super AMOLED Full HD Display which can provide strikingly beautiful life like images and videos. The phone has a 3300mAh battery with fast charging support which has become common in all new Samsung phones. Connectivity options include 4G LTE (not yet known if it supports VoLTE, we will update on this front as soon as we come to know about it) Dual-SIM support, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS and other common modes.
3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage is available in this new phone. Samsung phones always excel in cameras as they are more refined and are capable of providing great pictures always and Galaxy On8 is no different either. The 13MP rear as well as the 5MP front camera is expected to come with LED Flash.
Another plus is that Samsung Galaxy On8 is powered by Exynos 7580 SoC, and an octa-core CPU which clocks at 1.6GHz. It will have Mali T720 GPU and the phone also will have 3GB RAM with 16GB internal storage which can be expanded to up to 128GB.
Overall, Samsung Galaxy On8 is quite a phone to look forward to and we expect that Samsung will price it aggressively to wade away the competition from the likes of recently announced Lenovo Z2 Plus and OnePlus 3.
We are disappointed with the meagre 16GB internal space which will make the users want more on this front since it is not enough to run all the apps one want to. Android Marshmallow v6.0.1 would be the OS for this phone and it is not good since Android v7.0 is already making appearance in some of the new phones.
