Micromax Canvas Mega 2: An Entry-Level Giant
Micromax has finally unveiled its latest smartphone that was announced a few days back at an event. Better known as Canvas Mega 2, this handset succeeds the existing Canvas Mega but brings in an upgraded set of features for a nominal price tag. Dual-SIM support is rendered to this smartphone besides 3G and 4G LTE connectivity. This handset also features Wireless compatibility, GPS for navigation and Bluetooth v4.0. A 3.5mm audio jack is on-board followed by the FM Radio. In terms of internals, Micromax houses a quad-core processor clocking at 1.3GHz for all the cores in play. 1GB RAM is assigned to the same in addition to an internal storage limit of 8GB expandable further up to 32GB, via the micro-SD slot. An 8MP primary shooter is associated with this handset boasting of LED Flashlight support. Micromax also offers a 5MP selfie shooter.
In terms of resolution, the featured qHD panel offers 960x540 pixels that is pretty low as compared to the existing screen size. PPI level is on the lower side and the display is only big but not vibrant. Micromax runs Android Lollipop v5.0 straight out of the box. This version of Android is pretty obsolete for the given price tag.
