HTC brings in a lot of style with its latest flagship, One M9. Touted as the Gen-next gadget, this Smartphone is expected to roll-out pretty soon with the specs sheet detailed as follows:
The One M9 sports a metallic chassis with the Dual-tone body in scope. The mirrored edges look great besides the ergonomic layout. This handset is tapered at the edges, sporting a perfected grip and the curved unibody layout. The streamlined surface is one iconic inclusion and this gadget measures 9.61mm in terms of thickness. The One M9 weighs 157g besides featuring the front speakers into the mix. Overall, the One M9 looks a captivating handset with a sturdier layout sitting atop a futuristic framework.
The One M9 boasts of a 5 inch screen supporting Full HD resolution and multi-touch. The count at 1080x1920p translates into a pixel density count of 441ppi. 16M color combinations are supported as well by this Super LCD3 panel. The One M9 also features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, lending scratch resistance to the screen.
The One M9 runs the latest breed of Android OS in Lollipop v5.0. The latest version comes with the minor bug fixes and works in unison with the HTC Sense UI v7.0, sitting atop.
Powering the One M9 is the Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset. An Octa-core processor is paired along clocking at 1.5GHz for the first set of four Cortex-A53 cores. The remaining set of four Cortex-A57 cores clock at 2GHz as well, featuring faster computing prowess. Graphics are taken care of by the Adreno 430, which is the dedicated GPU in play.
RAM allotted to the One M9 is 3GB, assisting the processor with multitasking. In term of built-in storage, the One M9 is allotted 32GB, with 21GB available as the user-dedicated limit. Micro-SD support is available with an expandable limit of up to 128GB.
In terms of camera hardware, the One M9 packs in a 20.7MP primary shooter. The sapphire cover lens features autofocus, BSI sensor and Dual-LED flashlight as the included specs. HDR and panorama modes are supported in addition to the BSI sensor f/2.2 and the 4K video recording prowess. HTC incorporates a 4MP Ultrapixel as the secondary camera unit, featuring the BSI sensor with f/2.0 as the wide-angle lens aperture. Full HD video recording is also supported by the front shooter in addition to the HDR mode.
Connectivity and Sound
In terms of connectivity, the One M9 offers GSM, 3G and 4G LTE support in addition to the NFC and Bluetooth v4.1. Storage limits are well-defined but the battery still leaves a lot to be desired. Overall the One M9 is the perfect status symbol and redefines the very existence of Smartphones. Even with the exorbitant price tag, the One M9 is still a worthy catch.
