HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle: Mid-Range Smartphone with Metallic Undertones
HTC has recently teased its Desire 10 series of smartphones and these will soon be launched officially for the pretty nominal price point. One of the Desire 10 branded handsets is a mid-range entity featuring some of the most basic specifications for its category. Let us take a closer look at this handset, better known as the Desire 10 Lifestyle:
HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle stacks in a 5.5-inch screen, boasting of life-like visuals. Moving on, we get Android Marshmallow v6.0 straight out of the box. HTC’s Sense UI is skinned on top of the existing operating platform. Basic connectivity specs in 4G LTE, Wireless support, GPS for navigation and Bluetooth v4.0 are persisted with. Moreover, we get reasonable acoustics courtesy two front-facing speakers, 24-Bit DAC chipset and Boomsound audio technology. Powering the same is a standard battery module. This smartphone also throws in a 3.5mm audio jack for better functionality. In terms of aesthetics, we get metallic and golden accents upon edges, flashlight, antenna cutouts and even the rear shooter.
The HD display at 1280x720 pixels is passé and should have been upgraded to Full HD. Moreover, lack of a fingerprint scanner is more of a deal breaker for this smartphone
Unique Selling Points
HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle stacks in a quad-core with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon branding on it. Apart from that we get 32 Gigs of on-board storage capacity. 3GB RAM is certainly one of the best features on display. However, HTC will also be launching a 2GB/16GB version of the same. In terms of imagery, we get a 13MP primary snapper with flashlight and BSI sensor. A 5MP selfie unit is also available.
