Gionee S6s: A Powerful Mid-Range Option
Gionee’s newest smartphone has now been teased and it will start rolling out from August 21. This is strictly a mid-range smartphone with a pretty extensive gamut of reliable features. While this might not be the cheapest device in its category, we are still expecting it to feature in a list of the most affordable mid-range handsets. Let us take a closer look at the existing set of attributes:
Gionee S6s features a 5.5-Inch Full HD screen which is a great addition for the expected price point. The featured panel offers 1920x1080 pixels, in terms of resolution. This smartphone looks pretty sturdy and flaunts a metallic unibody layout. Powering the same is a 3,150mAh, standard battery module. This smartphone boots Android Marshmallow v6.0 with the Amigo UI v3.2 sitting on top. Some of the latest connectivity specs are featured on this Dual-SIM supported smartphone including 4G LTE support, Wireless compatibility, Bluetooth v4.0, micro-USB port and GPS for navigation.
In terms of processing prowess, Gionee packs in an Octa-Core processor from MediaTek clocking at 1.3GHz. Mali T720 is the existing GPU.
While the hands-on performance needs to be checked, MediaTek’s MT6753 isn’t the most powerful processor for the given price point. Moreover, Gionee will be shipping only the golden colored variant, initially.
