Canon EOS 1100D: Featuring a 12MP Sensor, DIGIC 4 Image Processor and Bundled Lens Kits
Canon has launched its latest DSLR in EOS 1100D, a promising gadget with a lot of bankable features to boast of. This camera appeals to the budget-conscious individuals and offers an easy to use interface as well. The specs sheet associated with this gadget can be detailed as follows:
The EOS 1100D boasts of a 12MP image sensor, supporting a maximum image resolution of 4272x2848 pixels. Other resolutions are also supported in addition to the featured 3:2 aspect ratio. The APS-C CMOS measures 22.2mmx14.8mm besides working in unison with the DIGIC 4 image processor. ISO sensitivity range of 100-6400 is featured by this camera in addition to the 6 white balance presets and the custom white balance mode. RAW format is supported besides Fine and Normal JPEG quality levels. Focal length multiplication or zoom at 1.6X is featured but the digital zoom seems to be missing with this camera. Manual focus and multiple autofocus modes are supported as well besides 9 focus points and the pre-existing Canon EF/EF-S lens mount.
Photography and Videography
The EOS 1100D exhibits a shutter speed range of 30-1/4000 sec. Both Aperture and shutter priority modes are featured in addition to the manual exposure mode and subject/scene modes. Built-in flash is supported as well with a range of 9.20m. External flash support is also available via Hot Shoe and the integrated E-TTL II. The EOS 1100D boasts of a 2.7 inch fixed TFT color LCD with a resolution of 230K dots. The liquid crystal monitor packs in the Live View spec in addition to the Optical Penta-mirror as the featured view finder. The coverage area for this viewfinder is 95 percent besides the magnification limit of up to 0.8X.
Connectivity and Storage
The EOS 1100D supports USB 2.0 for faster file transfers up to 480Mbit/sec. Mini HDMI port is included in addition to the Eye-FI support and the E3 connector. In terms of storage formats, the EOS 1100D supports SD, SDHC and SDXC digital cards as well.
Design and Battery
